These plants are hardy and generally have beautiful patterns on their leaves. It releases oxygen in night and absorbs harmful toxins like benzene, toluene, xylene, formaldehyde, etc. from the air.

Snake Plant Varieties
1. Sansevieria trifasciata ‘Cylindrica’
It is also known as Sansevieria cylindrica or magic sword or african spear.
It is native to Africa. It is a drought-tolerant plant. It can survive on less water.
The leaves of this plant is in the form of smooth sub-cylinder. The color of leaves is greenish-gray. There are strips on the leaves.
The leaves can grow up to 2.1 meters in height and up to 3 cm in diameter. The leaves are tough and pointed at the ends. That is why this plant is given the name “spear”.
2. Sansevieria trifasciata ‘Black Gold’
This plant variety has magnificent look. The leaves of this plant are thick and dark green in color. The leaves has thick gold color outer border. This pattern makes it unusual and catchy to eyes.
The leaves grow up to 2.6 feet in height and up to 2 inches wide. It is best used as an ornamental plant indoor.
3. Sansevieria trifasciata ‘Black Dragon’
The leaves of this plant form a bird’s nest. The leaves are deep dark green-black in color. It has a lustrous and smooth surface. In the presence of light, it looks amazing.
This plant is perfect for tables, shelves, or the kitchen. Its leaves grow up to 30 cm in height.
4. Sansevieria trifasciata ‘Black Coral’
This plant have wide and thick leaves. The leaves are dark green in color with random light green color straps. These straps are uneven in shape.
The leaves can grow up to 3 feet in height and 2.5 inches in width.
5. Sansevieria trifasciata ‘Hahnii’
This is a dwarf plant variety of snake plant. It looks like a bird’s nest. Hence it is also know as Bird’s Nest Sansevieria.
It is noted that Hahnii is a cultivar of the Sansevieria trifasciata Laurentii plant. It is adapted to hot and dry climates.
It can grow up to 12 inches in height and up to 6 inches in width. The leaves are dark green colored with gray color strips or irregular patterns.
6. Sansevieria trifasciata ‘Golden Hahnii’
This plant is similar to the Sansevieria trifasciata ‘Hahnii’ except color. This plant also looks like bird’s nest.
The leaves are dark green in color, with golden yellow color edges. There are irregular gray color patterns between golden edges. It can be said that it is a dwarf version of Sansevieria trifasciata ‘Black Gold’.

7. Sansevieria zeylanica
This variety of snake plant has hard, green color leaves with gray color strips. This plant is easily found in India and Sri Lanka.

8. Sansevieria trifasciata ‘Laurentii’
It is a variegated snake plant. Its leaves are thick, green color with yellow color edges. There are gray color patterns between the yellow edges. The leaves can grow up to 3 feet in height.
