How to Easily Hide Your Mobile Number While Calling Someone |
Have you ever seen some incoming calls appear on the screen as Private Number. You would not see the actual number of the person who have called you. It is because the caller intentionally made the number hidden.
If you want to hide your mobile number from the recipient mobile then read this post in detail. In this post I am sharing some tricks using which you are able to hide your mobile number from anybody you call. Your number will be appeared as Private Number on the mobile handset of person you’re calling.
There are three methods using which you can easily hide your mobile number from anybody you call. You can easily do the above task using three method which I am going tell you. Here is three methods:

1. Hide Phone Number Using Mobile Settings
This step is for Android users only. Although similar steps are for Windows, Iphone and Blackberry users.
Step 1: Firstly go to Call settings in your Mobile.
Step 2: Now tap on settings or additional settings option.
Step 3: After that tap on the Show My Caller ID option.
Step 4: Now a popup will open. Choose Hide number option.
Now your number will be appeared as Private Number on the mobile handset of person you’re calling.
Note: Many user will not be able to change there Show My Caller ID option. This option is freezed on their mobile. So they follow method 2 or 3.
2. Hide Number by Adding Caller ID Blocking Prefix
If you don’t have option to change your Caller ID in first step then you can try adding Caller ID blocking prefix before calling number. Many countries supports this feature. Every country has some Caller ID Blocking prefix number that help you hiding your number from your recipient mobile while calling.
The blocking code vary from country to country. You should make sure that the Caller ID blocking prefix code is enabled by your network provider.
Here is the list of Caller ID blocking codes for some countries:
Albania, Denmark, Greece, Israel, Italy, Netherlands, Sweden, Norway: #31#
Australia: 1831 or #31#
Argentina, Iceland, Switzerland, South Africa: *31*
Germany: *31# or #31#
Hong Kong: 133
India: *31#
Japan: 184
New Zealand: 0197 (for Telecom) or *67 (for Vodafone)
North America: *67 or #31#
UK and Ireland: 141
Suppose if you’re living in North America and want to call 3123456789, you should dial #31#3123456789. Now your number will appear as Private Number on the recipient’s screen instead of your number.
Note: You can try *67 or #31# blocking codes if your country isn’t listed above.
3. Contact Your Carrier to Permanently Hide Number
This is the last method. If above two method doesn’t work for you then you can contact your service provider to permanently hide number. They would charge some fees to hide your mobile number. It depends upon different carrier.
So this is all about hiding your mobile number while calling someone. Also note that your call will not be complete if someone has enabled Anonymous Call Rejection on their phone.
