Conophytum bilobum Care

Conophytum bilobum is a type of succulent plant with having small stemless structure. These succulents have chalky-green or pale-green leaves with a dark green dotted pattern. The leaves are harsh to touch. It can grow up to 7.5 cm in height and 3 cm in width.

The shape of the leaves somewhat triangular and pointed at the edges. The top margin has a red or maroon colour. They bear beautiful flowers mostly in fall. The flower stem comes out from the centre-top of the leaf and blooms in daylight (diurnal). The colour of the flowers varies from bright yellow to light orange.

Conophytum bilobum native to the South Africa continent. It also multiples and create a bunch or cluster of similar plants.

The care of this succulent plant is essential. If it is not properly taken care of, it may damage. Sunlight, water and soil are some important things that can affect the life of the Conophytum bilobum.

Direct sunlight can be avoided to sustain this plant. The 1-3 hours of indirect sunlight in the morning is enough to grow well.

The porous soil mixture is used to properly drain excess water. Excess watering causes succulent plant roots to rot. Hence this plant must be placed in the succulent soil mixture.

Watering the succulent plant can be done once every 1-2 weeks. In winters, these plants should be very much cared for; hence can be watered once a month.
